Darlene M. Hinsch age 82 of Camanche, passed away Wednesday Feb. 12, 2014 at Mercy North Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, Feb 15th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial is scheduled for Monday 1:00 PM at the Farmersburg Cemetery in Farmersburg, IA. Darlene was born on Jan. 25, 1932 in Monona, IA, the daughter of Leroy and Ann (Sudal) Palas. She married William Hinsch on Nov. 20, 1948 in Nashua, IA. She was a homemaker and had worked at AC Nielsen Company and she was a manager of a convenience store. She enjoyed cooking, watching soap operas, and playing Sudoku.

Darlene is survived by her six children, Judy Holy of Clinton, William (Sandy) Hinsch of Clinton, Barbara Hinsch of Camanche, Mary Hinsch of Tulsa, OK, Robert (Annette) Hinsch of Camanche, and Thomas (Joni) Hinsch of Camanche; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; her ex-husband, William “Bill” Hinsch, and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Palas of McGregor, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
