The Clinton Herald Tuesday January 23, 1951 p. 8 Peter Mitchell, 70, resident of the Grand hotel, died about 8:30 p.m. Monday in Mercy hospital. The body is in the Snyder funeral home. Further arrangements are incomplete. Mr. Mitchell was born in Fenton, Ill., and later lived in Montana before coming to Clinton. He made his home with his sister, Mrs. Nellie Nolte, prior to her death about two years ago. He had been employed as janitor at several places, including the Y.W.C.A., the Veterans Adminsitration domicilary and Climax Engineering company. Surviving are a brother, William in Los Angeles, Calif., and several cousins in the area.
