Joan E. Dunn, 80, of Clinton, formerly of Low Moor, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at Mercy Living Center South. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren.

Joan was born in Clinton on Jan. 30, 1933, the daughter of John and Malinda (Aude) Rittmer. She graduated from Miles High School. She married Raymond J. Dunn on July 31, 1954, in St. Patrick’s Church, Clinton. Raymond passed away on Jan. 20, 2000. Joan had been employed at Clinton Corn Processing Company and A.C. Nielsen. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and playing bingo and cards.

Joan is survived by four children, Janet (Jim) Fisher of Morrison, Ill., John (Kathy) Dunn of Preston, Iowa, Ray (Patty) Dunn of DeWitt, Iowa, and Julie (Chris) Anderson of North Liberty, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Brian and Eric Fisher, Michael and Jennifer Dunn, Zach Anderson, Olivia and Blake Huskey and Brady Dunn; a great-grandson, Jackson; three sisters, Fern Hartz, Jane Dunlavy and Vera (Bill) Miller, all of Clinton; and nieces and nephews.
