Lucille M. Olsen, 94, of Clinton, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Alverno.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00am, Friday, November 15, 2013 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30am to the mass time Friday at church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family. Lucille M. Sodeman was born on June 12, 1919 in Preston, Iowa, the daughter of John and Marie (Boehmer) Sodeman. She was a 1937 graduate Mount St. Claire High School. Following her graduation, she worked for Fidelity Insurance until 1946. She married Jack C. Olsen on November 17, 1946 in Clinton; he died March 25, 2006.

Lucille was a homemaker. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. She enjoyed knitting and reading. Jack and Lucille enjoyed dancing, traveling together, and spending time with their grandchildren especially during their early years of retirement.

Lucille is survived by her children: Jim (Lee) Olsen of Circle Pines, Minnesota, Dick (Anita) Olsen of Estherville, Iowa, Dave Olsen of Clinton, Susan Mostek of Clinton and Gregg Olsen of Clinton; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and two sisters.

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
