Jacqueline A. Steffey, 86, of Clinton, died, November 12, 2013 at the Alverno.

Funeral Mass will be 1:00pm Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00pm to the mass time Saturday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family. Jacqueline A. Rupert was born on July 3, 1927 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Hyde) Rupert. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a 1945 graduate of St. Mary’s High School.

Jacqueline married Herbert Westman, Jr. on November 28, 1946 in Clinton; he died December 16, 1954. She later married Melvin Steffey on April 11, 1974 in Clinton.

Jacqueline helped her father at Rupert’s for many years and also worked at LouMarges.

Jacqueline was a member of Prince of Peace Parish where she helped with funeral lunches for many years. She enjoyed camping, lying in the sun, and shopping.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband: Melvin of Clinton; one son: Gary (Judi) Westman of Palm Harbor, Florida; one daughter: Sally (the late Bob) Still of Clinton; two step-daughters: Sandra (William) Chambers of Camanche, Donna Steffey of Clearwater, Florida; two step-sons: Rick (Theresa) Steffey of Goose Lake, and Paul (Lisa) Steffey of West Alexandria, Ohio; 7 grandchildren: Debi (Mike) Kruckenberg, Lisa Still-Thompson, Cory (Melinda) Still, Jody (Tara) Still, Nikki Westman, Noel Westman, Garian Westman-Harberson, 9 great-grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, and numerous step great-grandchildren.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, a step-daughter, a step-son-in-law, a son-in-law, and her sister.
