Debra M. “Deb” Leslie age 53 passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.

Deb was born in Bellevue on August 25, 1960, the daughter of Adrian and Kathleen (Wagemester) Scheckel. She graduated from Mount St. Clare Academy in 1979. Deb married Timothy Leslie on May 14, 1988 at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton. She had been employed with A.C. Nielsen, Data Dimensions, Target, and for the last seven years at Walmart, where she was known as the “Candy Lady”. She was a member of the former New Hope Church. Deb enjoyed bargain hunting at the Goodwill Store for friends, co-workers, and their families.

Deb is survived by her husband, Tim; two sons, Ethan and Arick Leslie both of Clinton; a brother, Philip Scheckel of Clinton; two sisters, Cecelia (Jon) Sikkema of Fulton and Angela (Brian) Frasier of Morrison; her mother-in-law, Cleo Leslie of Clinton; three brothers-in-law, Carl, Greg and Todd Leslie all of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Kimberly Leslie of Clinton and nieces and nephews.
