William “Bill” J. Ramig, 70, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Clinton, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Jacksonville.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. William John Ramig was born on January 22, 1943 in Clinton, the son of Arthur and Jessie (Heck) Ramig. He married Judy A. Lingenfelter on June 13, 1964 in Clinton, Iowa.

Bill was employed with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad for many years retiring in January 22, 2003.

Bill enjoyed his grandchildren and sports. He was a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers and an elder at Celebration Lutheran Church, St. John’s, Florida.

Bill is survived by his wife: Judy of Jacksonville, Florida, two daughters: Krista (Donald) Griffith of Jacksonville, Florida, Keri (Bill) Minier of Carollton, Texas; five grandchildren: Bryson Hendricks, Jessica, Nicholle, Kyle and Tanner Griffith; sisters, Marilyn Huff of Clinton and Bonnie (Richard) Tervelt of Burlington, NC; his twin brother, Thomas “Tom” Ramig of Clinton and nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Raymond, Russell, Clifford, Donald and Gerald and one sister, Joy Howard.
