Gloria Pearson, 85, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at her home.

A Mass will be celebrated on 9:30am, Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Yarolem, Charles Buikema, Andy Pearson, Josh Daniel, John Hehlke, and Brian Manning. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Aaron Yarolem. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30am to the mass time at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.

Gloria Gemignani was born on June 5, 1928, in Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of Guido and Olga Gemignani. She married Loren Pearson on September 6, 1949 in Sterling, Illinois, he died September 25, 1996.

Gloria graduated from Morrison High School and then attended the University of Cincinnati.

Gloria worked at the Isaac Walton Club for 17 years as a waitress and cook.

Gloria was a member of Prince of Peace Parish.

Gloria is survived by one son: Mark S. Pearson (Bobbie Hehlke) of Clinton; one daughter: Cindy (Pat) Green of Grand Mound, Iowa; eleven grandchildren: Andy Pearson, Wendy (Charles) Buikema, Audrey (David) Yarolem of Clinton, Heather (Josh) Daniel of Calamus, Sarah, Michael, and Shawna Pearson, and Abby (Chris) Bailey all of Aledo, Illinois; step-grandsons: Jon Hehlke, Steve Helhlke, and Jacob Tholen all of Clinton and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guido and Olga Gemignani, her husband, Loren Pearson, son Michael Pearson, two brothers: Jim Gemignani and Bob Gemignani, a grandson: Aaron Green, and a step-grandson: Brandon Buikema.
