Randall J. Martens age 51 of Camanche, died Friday July 19, 2013 at Mercy North Medical Center. Cremation rites have been accorded, a private family service will be held Tuesday at the Pape Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Tribute will be held for the public at a later date. Randy was born on Dec. 11, 1961 in Dewitt, IA, the son of Lawrence and Jean (Goethals) Martens. He graduated from Dewitt High School in 1981. He served in the US Air Force until 1987. Randy worked at Custom-Pak in product development for over 19 years. He enjoyed running, motorcycles, being outdoors, and was a Chicago Bulls fan.

Randy is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly and Courtney Martens both of Princeton, IA; his parents, Lawrence and Jean Martens of Camanche; four brothers, Joel Martens of Dewitt, Brian Martens of Camanche, Chris (Deb) Martens of Camanche, and Brent (Sara) Martens of Goose Lake; a sister, Marianne (Tom) Wagemester of Clinton; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a daughter, Heather.
