Jane E. (Mrs. Lloyd “Dutch”) Schulz, 59, of Wheatland, Iowa, formerly of DeWitt, Iowa, died early Wednesday morning, May 22, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport, Iowa.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013. A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Pallbearers will be Josh Wold, Ryan Birney, Bob Vogt, Kyle Thompson, and Micah Gustafson. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Miller, Amanda Maynard, Dottie Maynard, and Vickie O'Neill.

Jane was born Jane Ellen Carber on March 25, 1954, in DeWitt, Iowa, to Lowell and Peggy (Maynard) Carber. She was a 1972 graduate of Central Community Schools in DeWitt. On March 1, 1975, Jane married Dutch Schulz in the Congregational Church at DeWitt. She had been employed by the theatre in DeWitt, Farm Service, Ennis Business Forms, and sold real estate. For the past 20 years, Jane drove bus for Central Community Schools.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of DeWitt. Jane enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino, sewing, camping and fishing, Margaritaville, and time spent with her family. She was a talented musician playing guitar and singing at various occasions.

Surviving are her husband, Lloyd; a son, Cody Schulz of Charlotte, Iowa; her mother, Peggy Carber of DeWitt; a brother, Jack Carber of DeWitt; her beloved Husky, Loki; numerous very close cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and other relatives and friends.

Preceding Jane in death were her father and grandparents.
