Teresa Jo Sargent, 46, of Clinton, Iowa died Monday, April 1, 2013 at Mercy North, Clinton.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the service hour at the funeral home.
Teresa was born August 4, 1966 in Clinton, the daughter of Phillip and Susan (Cousins) DeWeerdt. She was a Clinton High School graduate. Teresa married Ryan Sargent on June 28, 1997 in Clinton.
Teresa was employed at Nestle Purina for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Ryan of Clinton; sons, Travis (Chelsea) Gruhn of Elvira, Iowa and Dustin Gruhn of Woodbine, Iowa; grandson, Liam Travis Gruhn; mother, Susan (Wayne) Hartz of DeWitt; father, Phil DeWeerdt of Morrison, Illinois; sister, Lisa (Brent) Holstein of Camanche; brother, Matthew (Jill) DeWeerdt of West Des Moines and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Luella Cousins and Bernice DeWeerdt.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
