Anton “Tony” Kapusta, age 85, of Thomson passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Mercy Living Center North in Clinton. In following Tony's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Cremation rites will be accorded with a graveside service, to be held at a later date, at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo, Wisconsin.

Tony was born to Steve and Annie (Bucek) Kapusta on January 17, 1928, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He farmed in Wisconsin and near Thomson for many years. He later drove trucks for the Preston Creamery and A.D.M. He was a member of the Catholic faith. A generous man, Tony would give a helping hand to those he saw in need. He loved his grandchildren and working outdoors in his garden. He was a fantastic story teller who loved to tell jokes. He enjoyed the challenge of refurbishing old machinery and collecting John Deere memorabilia.

Tony is survived by four children: Michael Spears of Dunnellon, FL, Kathleen (David) Ward of Clinton, Jacqueline Risku of Thomson, and Timothy (Vickie) Spears of Ogden, IA; five grandchildren: Michael, Andrew, Jamie, Taylor and Nicholas; five great grandchildren: Leah, Kage, Lola, Sophia and Cooper; and two sisters: Dorothy Bolder and Frances Kapusta, both of Antigo. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Steve and Bernie, three sisters: Patti, Mary and Rosie; and two granddaughters: Amanda and Allyson.
