CLINTON-Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Lingard, 66, formerly of Clinton, who died Tuesday in s Freeport Hospital, were held at 1:30p.m. today at the Shaddack Funeral Home. The Rev. E.E. Schaeffer of Freeport officiated. Mrs. Harris Meyer was organist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wayne Lind, Albert Stremlow, Dwayne Spooner, Klare McCutcheon, Claude Vaught and Marvin Jech.
Elsie Pringle Lingard was born Aug 27, 1893, in Clinton, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Echelbarger Pringle.
She was educated in the Clinton Schools, moving to Freeport in 1958.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Merrill (Lauretta) Artman of Freeport; three foster children, Mrs. Nora Mae Dressen of Clinton; Allan Pringle of Riverdale. Ill., and Capt. George Stremlow of Long Beach, Calif.; one grandson; one sister, Mrs. Maynard (Dora) Burgfee of Clinton; one brother, Rollie Pringle of St. Petersburg, Fla.
