LARKIN, SHUTTLE, LINGARD, PUMPER

CLINTON-Ernest N. Larkin, 81, 0f 700 9th Ave S., died today in Jane Lamb Hospital where he had been a patient for several days. Services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday in Bragomer-Fay Chapel with Lyle Rossing, student pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. today.
He was born Aug 24, 1881, in Maquoketa, the son of Lauren and Elizabeth Shuttle Larkin. He was educated at Mechanicsville and graduated from high school there. He was employed as a crew dispatcher for the Chicago and North Western railroad for 40 years. He was married to Ruth B. Lingard. He served three years in the Mexican War and was a member of the Mexican Border Veterans.
Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Pumper of Park Forest, Ill., and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one daughter.
