WISOR, Mrs. Clara
Clinton - [no date: ca 1978] Mass of the Christian Burial will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church in Villa Nova for Mrs. Clara Wisor, 83, formerly of Clinton, who died Monday in Moline Lutheran Hospital.
The Rev. Harry Greiner will officiate. The mass will be preceded by a prayer service at 10 a.m. at Schmitz Funeral Home, where visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today and recitation of the rosary at 8:15 p.m. today. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Villa Nova.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Jim Wisor, Don Wisor, Jack Nugent, Greg Nugent, Jeff Wisor and Mike Jost.
Mrs. Wisor was born April 30, 1895, in Germany, the daughter of Francis and Mary Pestka Manikowski. She came to America at the age of 17. On Jan. 30, 1913, she married Roman Wisor in Clinton. She moved to Rock Island in 1963, following his death.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Laurent (Clara) Nugent and Mrs. Teresa Dolan Cotter, both of Rock Island, Mrs. Jene (Mary) Jost, Morrison, Mrs. Steve (Alberta)Sharnik, Moline, and Sister Marjorie Wisor, OSF, Clinton; three sons, Francis and Joseph Wisor, both of Camanche, and Robert Wisor, Goose Lake; 30 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons, two daughters, two sisters and a ... (end)
