Rudolf A. "Rudy" Schroeder, 94, of Bryant, died Tuesday in Wyndcrest Nursing Home.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Ascension Lutheran Church, Goose Lake, with the Rev. Harvey Grote officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Pape Funeral Home, and from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour Friday at the church. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Merle Rathje, Gilbert and Melvin Schroeder, Merwin and Virgil Koch and Wayne Jurgensen.

He was born Sept. 24, 1899 in Goose Lake, to Charles and Augusta Husen Schroeder. He married Beulah Scott, Oct. 14, 1961, in Goose Lake. He was a educated in the Goose Lake schools and had farmed his entire life in the Goose Lake, area retiring in 1960. He was a charter member and one of the founders of Ascension Lutheran Chruch, where he served as church treasurer for many years. He was a 50 year member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau and director of Center Grove Cemetery Association of 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Arthur (Bonnie) Marx of Bryant; four stepgrandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Death date: Feb. 15, 1994.
