Donald R. Otto, age 64, of Hornbeak, Tennessee, formerly of Clinton County, passed away unexpectedly last week at his home in Tennessee. Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held in conjunction with his father, Marvin, from 1:00 to 3:00 P. M. Saturday at the Pape Funeral Home. Private graveside services will follow at Springdale Cemetery.

Donald was born in Clinton on December 12, 1948, the son of Marvin and Marilyn (Nielsen) Otto. He graduated from DeWitt High School. He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and Cambodia during the Vietnam War. Don was employed with the Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a founding member of the Eastern Iowa Threshers. He was an avid fisherman and collected and displayed gas engines throughout the Midwest.

Don is survived by his parents, Marvin and Marilyn Otto of Clinton; a brother, Terry (Roxanne) Otto of Clinton; a sister, Julie (Steve) Dilling of Rochelle, IL; five nieces; five great nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Kitrina.
