ALFRED W. HARKSEN

Alfred William Harksen, 55, life long resident of Clinton County died about 1:45 a.m. Sunday in his home after seven monmths illness.
The body reposes in the McGinnis Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Lester E. Olson of the Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
Alfred William Harksen, son of Martin and Pauline Harksen, was born Sept. 2, 1895 at Goose Lake, and spent his entire life in this community. He was married to Hazel Myers Oct. 18, 1913 in Davenport.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. H. D. Smith DeWitt, on son. Donald M., Clinton, one sister, Mrs. Henry Petersen, Clinton, five brothers, Peter, Goose Lake, Johannes, Clinton, Alvin and Harry DeWitt, and Louis, Davenport. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Florence Stout, one brother, Paul, and one sister, Mrs. Hugh Reimer
