GOLDIE PETERSEN
Goldie Petersen, 80, of DeWitt, died Sunday at Westwing Place.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at DeWitt United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Clare DeBoef officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Petersen, Rick Seamer, Bruce Rickertsen, Dean Nielsen, Randy Franzen and John Watters.
she was born May 17, 1916 in Low Moor, to Howard and Bertha Goers Hudson. She married Elmer Petersen, Oct. 17, 1934. He died Jan. 23, 1983.
She was a 1933 graduate of Clinton High Scholl.
She lived in Low moor and Welton area until moving to DeWitt in 1974. She had been employed with DeWitt United Telephone Co. and DeWitt Community Hospital.
She was a member of DeWitt United Methodist Church, and was a former member and president of Low Moor United Methodist Women.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Judy (Dale) Peters of Grand Mound; a son, Kent Petersen of Oxford Junction; a stepson, Donald Petersen of Reno, Nec.; two grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Effie Hall of Low Moor, and Mrs. Irma (Orville) Seamer of Clinton.
