ARLO T. PETERSEN

Arlo T. Petersen, 78, of DeWitt, died today in DeWitt Community Hospital.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Elvira Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Gregory Friedrich officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m.Thursday in Schultz-McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial will be in Elvira Cemetery.
Mr. Petersen was born Feb. 7, 1911, near Low Moor, to Henry and Magdalena Harksen Petersen. He married Bernice Burkenshaw, Feb. 22, 1934, in Low Moor. He farmed in the Elvira area for 40 years and was a member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church and Clinton County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Steven (Jean) Morgan, of Camanche; a son, Ronald, of DeWitt; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Berneta Smith and Mrs. Harry (Mildred) Langhaim, both of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
