Patrick R. O'Meara, 85, of Petersville died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at the DeWitt Community Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Petersville.
Burial was in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
Patrick O'Meara was born Aug. 8, 1917, in Petersville to Benedict M. and Sara R. Reilly O'Meara.
He married Louise Gruenwald July 29, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Church.
He is survived by his wife; his mother, Sara O'Meara Cromer of DeWitt; daughters, Margaret O'Meara of Portland, Ore., Lizabeth Moshe and Sara O'Meara, both of San Francisco, Calif., JoAnn Figueroa of Des Moines, and Geneva Gartman of Maquoketa; sons, Mike of F. Leavenworth, Wash., Martin and William of Raleigh, N.C., Reilly of Wenatchee, Wash., P.J. of Welton and David of Delmar; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Henningsen of Florida; and brothers, Ben of Elkader, and Tom of Erie, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister and a daughter.
