"Chris Ytzen; Last rites for Chris Ytzen, 624 Twelfth Avenue, South, were held at 3 o'clock this afternoon in the Snell funeral home, the Rev. A. C. Kildegaar of St. John's Danish Lutheran Church officiating. Mrs. Henrietta Knop sang, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Minna Holgaard.
Burial was in Springdale cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur Petersen, Jess Tadsen, Chris Rasmussen, Fred Nelson, John Vance and John Hendricksen.
Coming from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen, Mrs. Arthur Humburg and Nicholas Ytzen of Thornton, the Chris Ytzen family of Swaledale, Julius Ytzen of Columbia, Tenn., Carl Ytzen of Quincy, Ill., Mrs. Christine Fensler of Rockwell and Hans Ytzen of New London, Minn." "Funeral Rites for Christ Ytzen at Clinton;
Christ Ytzen, age 78, passed away Sunday evening, September 29, at Jane Lamb hospital at Clinton, Ia., where he had been confined for the past five weeks.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Snell Funeral Home at Clinton with burial at Springdale cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev. Kildergaard, pastor of the Danish Lutheran Church of Clinton.
Mr. Ytzen was well acquainted here, having worked in this vicinity when a young man. He was the father of Mrs. Hans Hansen; Mrs. Arthur Humburg and Chris Ytzen, of Swaledale. He also leaves his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Robert Brown, of Clinton; three sons, Harold of Clinton, Julius of Columbia, Tennessee, and Carl of Quincey, Ill.; two brothers, Nick of Thornton, and Hans of New London; one sister, Mrs. Christine Fansler, of Rockwell.
Relatives from here who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Humburg and family, and Nick Ytzen, all of Thornton; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Ytzen, Iowa and Lowell, of Swaledale; Mrs. Christine Fansler, of Rockwell; and Chris N. Ytzen, of Coulter."

"Chris Ytzen, 424 Twelfth avenue, South, died at 12:30 o'clock this morning in Jane Lamb Hospital. The Rev. A. C. Kildegaard, St. John's Danish Lutheran Church minister, will hold services, at 3 p.m Wednesday in the Snell funeral home where the body will repose beginning tomorrow.
Burial will be in Springdale cemetery.
Mr. Ytzen was born April 6, 1862, in Denmark, and came to America 58 years ago. He and Miss Maren Christiansen were married June 2, 1891. He was a member of the Danish society.
Surviving are his wife, seven children, Mrs. Robert Brown and Harold Ytzen of this city, Mrs. Hans Hansen and Mrs. Arthur Humburg of Thornton, Chris Ytzen of Swaledale, Julius of Columbia, Tenn., and Carl of Quincy, Ill., three brothers, Nicholas Ytzen of Thornton, Hans of New London, Minn., and Peter of Denmark, and 12 grandchildren."
