"Caroline Ytzen funeral is Wednesday
Clinton-- Caroline Marie Ytzen, 96, of 638 Sixth Ave South, died Saturday in her home.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles and Chris Ytzen, John Vance and Gary, Trent and Monica Wirth.
She was born April 6, 1900, in Clear Lake, to Marinus and Anna Nelson Swenson. She married Chris Ytzen, Oct. 26, 1918, in Houston, Texas. He died in 1964.
She had been a resident of Clinton since 1942, was a homemaker and a seamstress in her home.
She was a member of the York Rite Auxillary.
Suvivors include a son, Lowell Ytzen of Clinton; a daughter, Iona Ray of Livermore, Calif., five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
