Clinton - Martha A. Kettler age 83 of Clinton passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Mercy Living Center North. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 23rd at the Pape Funeral Home with services to be held at 1:00 P.M. Following the services cremation rites will be accorded with burial at a later date.

Martha was born in Springdale, Pennsylvania, on November 26, 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Pavolitz) Mitas. She graduated from Springdale High School. Martha married Harold Stresky in June of 1951 in Springdale. Harold passed away on August 5, 1973. Martha later married Harvey Kettler on June 7, 1975 in Clinton. Harvey passed away in June of 2003. Martha was the Director of Exodus II in Clinton for over 20 years. She was a member of the Clinton women’s Club and had been an active volunteer for the Salvation Army. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and working outdoors. She wasn’t afraid to tackle anything.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Paula (Steve) Pearson of Clinton; three grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Elizabeth of Cedar Rapids, Spenser of Novi, Michigan and Ashley of Clinton; a brother, Lawrence Mitas of Springdale and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Mary, Ann, Louise and Helen and two brothers, Joseph and Paul.
