Clinton - Marian H. Van Doren age 95 of Clinton died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Harmony House in Clinton. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 10th at the Pape Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Marian was born in Savanna, Illinois on June 29, 1916, the daughter of Emil and Anna (Muncke) Glastetter. She married Peter Van Doren on March 28, 1934 in Clinton. Peter passed away on February 4, 2002. Marian had been a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, especially her tending her roses, cooking and baking, and raising ducks and geese.
Marian is survived by three daughters; Reta Roe of Clinton, Lois Surber of Arcadia, FL and Ellen Robinson of Rogers, AK; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and her special friends, Dick and Corinne Seeser of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sisters in infancy. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
