Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.
SERVICES: 11 a.m. Monday at DeWitt United Methodist Church. The Rev. James Kledis will be officiating.
DEWITT ¿ Ethel Fatchett, 96, of DeWitt, died Thursday at Westwing Place, DeWitt. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Pallbearers will be Mark and Ross Meggers, Douglas and Dean Springer and Ronald and Douglas Lippens; and granddaughters.
She was born April 14, 1910, in rural DeWitt to William and Lucetta Smith Atkinson. She married Clyde Fatchett on Feb. 5, 1930, in DeWitt. He died in 1969. She was a member of DeWitt United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She also was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Moose and many card clubs. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Meggers of DeWitt and Marilyn Springer of Davenport; one son, William (Karen) Fatchett of DeWitt; 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Blanche Behr of DeWitt; and two sisters-in-law, Ella Atkinson of Michigan and Mildred Fatchett of DeWitt. Memorials may be made to DeWitt United Methodist Church or the donor¿s favorite charity. Condolences may be made online at www.schultzfuneralhomes.com .
