The Clinton Herald Friday December 27, 1991 p 10 Lois M. Salyars, 78, formerly of Lloyds Trailer Court died Wednesday at Wyndcrest Nursing Home. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Schmitz Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Lloyd Jr., Gilbert Phelps, Eric, Steve and Kevin Salyars and Duane Linder. Mrs. Salyars was born Sept. 6, 1913 in Fremont, Iowa, to Howard and Clara Cook Tripplett. She married Lyle Salyars, April 29, 1931, in Lancaster, Mo. He died July 23, 1957. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and sewing. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Betty Ann) Harden of Tipton, and Mrs. Gene (Rosa Lea) Bowdish of Davenport; six sons, Charles and Robert both of Camanche, Lowell of Rochester, Iowa, Billy of Wilton, Donald of DeWitt, and Gary of Princeton; 37 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. LoRita Webster of Fremont. She was preceded in death by a daughter. Death date: Dec. 25, 1991.
