The Clinton Herald Friday February 14, 1958 p 13 Ralph J. Bather, 75, 725 13th Ave. S., president of the Andrew Bather Florist Inc., died at his home Thursday evening following a two-year illness. Friends may call at the Bragonier-Fay funeral chapel beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, and until 1 p.m. Monday when the body willl be taken to the First Presbyterian church. Funeral services will be held in the church, Monday at 2:30 p.m. Ralph J. Bather was born in Clinton on Dec. 17, 1882, the son of Andrew and Charlotte Beaumont Bather. He was educated in the Clinton schools and the Clinton Business college. He was associated with his father and a brother Leo in the florist business all his life. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church, and was a member of Western Star Lodge 100; DeMolay consistory; Order of the Eastern Star, and the Gyro club. Surviving is one sister, Edith of Clinton; one niece, Mrs. Ewart Potter, Clinton; three nephews, James Ralph Bather, Reno, Nev., John Beaumont Bather, Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Dr. Leroy H. Burdick, Falls City, Neb. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
