The Clinton Herald Monday December 6, 1954 p 11 Funeral services for Mrs. Leo H. Bather, 76, of 638 12th Ave. S., who died Saturday, were held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Bragonier-Fay funeral home. Dr. Bruce McCullough officiated, and burial was in Springdale cemetery. Mrs. Walter G. Bockel was the organist. Pallbearers were Harold Nelson, Walter Limbrecht, Marvin Albaugh, Martin C. Burde, Harlan Heath and Dr. Lloyd Chatterton. Attending the funeral from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. Harland Heath, Missouri Valley; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stier, McCausland, and Mrs. Carl Nordquist, Mrs. Etta Knees, Mrs. Gustie Moore and Mrs. William Hall of Moline, Ill. The daughter of John and Rachael Stier Otto, Mrs. Bather was born Sept. 25, 1878, at Malone. She was married to Leo H. Bather on June 17, 1903. He preceded her in death in August, 1951. Mrs. Bather was a member of First Presbyterian church, Circle five, the Wa-Tan-Ye club and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and had been mother advisor of the Order of Rainbow for Girls for many years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ewart (Jeanette) Potter, Clinton: two granddaughters and a grandson; two brothers, Elmer C. Otto, Alpine, Calif., and John C. Otto, Mt. Dora, Fla.; a niece and a nephew.
