The Clinton Herald Monday January 21, 1935 p 5 Mrs. Andrew Bather, 735 Thirteenth avenue, South, died at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Jan. 19, in her home. Death was due to injuries sustained in a fall eight weeks ago. Funeral services are to be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the home. Burial willl be in Springdale cemetery. Charlotte Beaumont was born July 9, 1850, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Beaumont. She spent her childhood in Marietta and when a young girl came to Clinton. She was married in 1874 to the late Andrew Bather, a pioneer florist of Clinton and prominent in the early history of the city. Mr. Bather preceded her in death in 1916 and a son, John died in 1902. Mrs. Bather is survived by a sister, Mrs. Anna Pearce, of DeWitt; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur D. Burdick, Mrs. Agnes Knoll and Miss Edith Bather; two sons, Leo H. Bather and Ralph J. Bather, and four grandchildren, Mrs. Ernest D. Potter of Hot Springs, ARk., Dr. L.H. Burdick, of Falls City, Nebr., and John and Jim Knoll. Mrs. Bather was a member of the First Baptist church and of Star of Hope Rebekah lodge.
