The Clinton Herald Friday February 23, 1962 p 8 Fred T. Jones, 66, of 2400 Liberty Ave., died early this morning in Jane Lamb Hospital. The body is at the Dalton funeral home where friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday. St. Mary's parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a Requiem High Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park. Fred Thomas Jones was born Sept. 20, 1893 in Fulton, Ill., the son of Frank and Abbie Leahy Jones. He was married April 13, 1912 to Myrtle Clark in Morrison, Ill. He was employed as a switchman for the Chicago and North Western railroad for 21 years and later worked as a watchman for Illinois Farm Supply in Albany. He was a member of St. Mary's Church. Survivors include his widow; six daughters, Mrs. Marion (Louise) Bumann of Bloomfield, Mrs. Arthur (Isabelle) Perryman, Mrs. Raymond (Caroline) Rannfeldt, Mrs. James (Earlene) Shores of Clinton, Mrs. Raymond (Myrtle) Jewell of Virginia, Mrs. Francis (Winifred) Welsh of New Orleans, La.; eight sons, Chancy of Moline, Ill., Charles, Robert and Merlin of Clinton, Thomas of Plaino, Ill., Jack of California, James of New Jersey and Joel, serving with the U.S. Army in Germany; 36 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Arthur Carlson of Clinton and two brothers, Earl and Edward, both of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers and one daughter.
