Lani M. Latta, 70, of Camanche, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at her home in Camanche.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Friday, February , 2012 at the Church of the Open Door, Clinton. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the church. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Lani Mae Jones was born on June 2, 1941 in Washington, DC, the daughter of Everett and Gladys (Dittmar) Jones. She was a graduate of Clinton High School.

She married Leonard “Gene” Latta on June 26, 1965 in Clinton; he later died June 24, 2003. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door.

She is survived by one daughter: Sara (Mikical) Davis of Camanche and their children: Kyle, Celina, and Colin Davis; one step-daughter: Laurie (Jim) Sheaf of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania and their children: Jimmy, Allison, and Meagan; special grandchildren Janae and Jenna Kitts; and her sister: Judy (Randy) McBride of Camanche.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Memorials can be made to the Church of the Open Door.
