Eula May Bradley Behr
(March 13, 1933 - March 31, 2009)

Eula M. Behr, 76, DeWitt, died Tuesday morning, March 31, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport, after an extended illness.

Eula was born March 13, 1933 to Virginia and George Bradley of Welch, West Virginia. She served for three years as a nurse in the United States Army stationed at West Point, New York, at the military hospital. Eula married Fred Behr of DeWitt, November 20, 1955 in West Virginia. She worked at Barnes Foodland for 33 years before retiring in 1996.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Eugene American Legion Post #238 of DeWitt.

Surviving are her husband, Fred; their son, Freddie and his wife, Vicki, Northfield, Minnesota; her granddaughters, Lauren Behr, Northfield, and Kelli Behr, Minneapolis; sisters and a brother-in-law, Fay and Elmer Riffe, Glouster, Virginia, and Charlotte Short, LaFollette, Tennessee.

Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009. A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Timothy Carr officiating. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The DeWitt American Legion will provide military rites. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials may be sent to Grace Lutheran Church.

Pallbearers will be Jim Owen, Mike Owen, Nick Owen, Gene Schatz, Steven Schatz and Joe Lichtenstein.
