Deceased Name: Harry Haack

Harry Haack, 89, formerly of Cedar Rapids and DeWitt, died Friday, March 3, 1995, in Belle Plaine Care Center, Belle Plaine, after a short illness. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rose Hill Cemetery, Calamus. There will be no visitation. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Allan of Eldridge; two daughters, Kit Kay Nebendahl and husband Robert of Cedar Rapids and Linda Wilhelm of Calamus; grandchildren, Dennis and Debra Haack, Carla McHenry, Connie Gottscholk, Carmen Proesch, Anita and Glenn Haack, Amy Lambert and husband Rodney and Jason and Trent Wilhelm; eight great-grandchildren; and a special family friend, Deb Miller.

He was preceded in death by a son, Marion; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Haack; and a sister.

Harry was born July 5, 1905, in Calamus and married Louise Dohrmann on Sept. 18, 1926, in Davenport. She died in 1972. Harry farmed in the DeWitt area for many years and later worked for the DeWitt School System until his retirement in 1971.

A memorial fund has been established.
