NAUGHTON, JOHN R., 82, of Largo, died Saturday (March 6, 1993) at home. He was born in DeWitt, Iowa, and came here in 1974 from Sterling, Ill. He worked nearly 39 years for Northwestern Steel & Wire Co., Sterling. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Largo. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, *Margaret; a son, James, Sterling; four daughters, Mary Ann Naughton, Largo, Colleen Chandler, Houston, Margaret Grennan, Rock Falls, Ill., and Janet Johnson, Centerville, Iowa; two brothers; three sisters; several nieces and nephews; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. National Cremation Society, Largo.

*Wife's maiden name might have been Verstraete.
