MRS. ELIZABETH HANNAFAN

Mr. Elizabeth Hannafan, 80, formerly of 2220 N. 5th St, died at Mercy Hospital Sunday.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Irenaeus Church with the Rev. Richard Van Ah officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Steward, Tom Steward, Mike O-Connell, Bill Klahn, Rich Hannafan, and Tim Hannafan. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Pape Funeral Home. There will be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Hannafan was born Oct 9, 1896 in Clinton to Theodore and Mary Strieb Schroer. She married Harry Sanders in 1917, he died in 1929.

She married Patrick Hannafan in Chicago in 1931. He died in 1968.

She was a member of St. Irenaeus Church, Our Lady of Fatima Society and the Senior Citizens.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Maryethel) Stewart, Clinton, one son, Richard P. Hannafan, Clinton, three step-daughters, Mrs. Russell (Alice) Dever, Bryant, Mrs. Leonard (Helen) Dose, Clinton, and Mrs. Hank (Lucille) Flug, DeLand, Fla., one brother, Fred Schroer, Clinton, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and seven step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, one brother and one step-son.
