MRS. VADA GEHLSEN

Mass of the Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church for Mrs. Vada Gehlsen, 53, Naperville, Ill., formerly of Clinton. The Rev. Lawrence Soens will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Johnson, Tim Mullen, Harold Petersen, Robert Hackett, Donald Metzger and Paul Naugle.

Mrs. Gehlsen died Saturday in Foster-McGraw Hospital, Maywood, Ill.
Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today in the Schmitz Funeral Home, where the St. Mary's Graduating class of 1941 will say the Rosary at 5 p.m. and the parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.

She was born March 5, 1924, in Clinton, the daughter of Joseph and Edna McNamara Mullen. She attended St. Mary's High School She married Lauren Gehlsen Sept 6, 1948.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Dorr, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Laurie Rielly-Finch, Mt. Prospect, Ill.; Carol Gehlsen, Naperville; a son, Daniel Gehlsen, Naperville; a grandchild; her parents of Clinton; a sister Mrs. Vernon (Marie) Johnson, Sarasota, Fla., and a brother, Timothy, Clinton.

Mrs. Gehlsen was preceded in death by a brother.
