Maurice “Moe” A. Miller, 65, of Clinton, Iowa passed away after a biking accident Monday, June 13, 2011 in Fulton, Illinois.

The family will greet friends from 3:00 to 5:00pm, Friday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. A Memorial Service will begin at 5:00pm on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory.

Moe was very informal and wouldn't want anyone to be uncomfortable. Please feel free to come as you are. Cut off shorts, flip flops, t-shirts are all welcome.

Maurice Allen Miller was born on February 19, 1946, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Vera (Niles) Miller. He married Caryl A. Herrity on June 6, 1964 in Clinton.

Moe was retired from Alcoa working there from 1981-2006. Prior to that he was employed as a boilermaker at Clinton Corn from 1964-1979.

Moe loved taking care of his grandkids and after that his great-granddaughters. He loved working in his beautiful backyard; constantly changing it from year to year.

He loved riding his bike everywhere, occasionally riding out to the casino. Another of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren’s ball games.

Moe is survived by his wife: Caryl of Clinton; two daughters’ Laurie (Jeff) Voss of Clinton; Lisa (Dave) Groh of Fulton; one son: Michael Miller of Clinton; 6 grandchildren; Jessica Groh, Jacquie Groh, Jimmy Groh, Tyler Voss, Jared Voss and Jordan Voss; Two great-granddaughters; Leah Groh, Kaylee Stutting; his mother: Vera Miller of Clinton; two brothers: Harvey (Sally) Miller of Auburndale, Florida and David Miller of Clinton.

Moe was preceded in death by his father.
