Fern L. Warner, 93, of Clinton died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Mercy Living Center South. Funeral services will be 10:30am Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Warner, Dean Hasselroth, Leonard Warner, Justin Vath, Curt Vath and Tony Vath.

Fern Lucille Tallman was born on December 24, 1917 in Clear Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Forrest and Anna (Nissen) Tallman. She married Harlan Warner on June 8, 1940 in Clinton; he died on March 30, 1990. She was a 1935 graduate of Clinton High School.

Fern was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a former member of the Izaack Walton League, and Iowa Federation for the Blind.

She is survived by one son: Russell (Vicky) Warner of Cedar Rapids; three daughters: Joyce (Jeff) Vath of Clinton, Janice Warner of Clinton, and Gayle (Todd) Treadwell of Lawrenceville, GA; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one sister: Eloise Burns of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorials may be made to the Arch or the First United Methodist Church.
