DeLoris F. Hamilton, 92, of Clinton, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time at the church. Following the services the body will be cremated. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Ron Goodsman. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

DeLoris Florence Moore was born on December 1, 1918 in Buffalo, Iowa the daughter of Frances and Emma (Petersen) Moore, and step-father Allan Stebbins. She was the valedictorian of her high school class at Buffalo High School. She married Robert E. Hamilton, they later divorced.

DeLoris was a secretary for various companies in Clinton and Davenport. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women, and a volunteer with Mercy Auxiliary. She enjoyed her African violets, needle pointing, bowling in her younger years, and her morning walks with friends.

DeLoris is survived by one daughter: Rita (Randy) Schaeffer of Clinton; four grandchildren: Travis (Lynnette) Schaeffer of Davenport, Tonya (Mike) Dierks of Bryant, Michael Leab of Galesburg, and Michelle Leab of Clinton; two great-grandchildren: Blake and McKenna Dierks of Bryant; two sisters: Garnet Brotman of Rock Island, and Phyllis Nelson of Davenport; her best friend: Bernice Burden and her Sweetheart Bakery Group of special friends.

DeLoris was preceded in death by her parents, one son: C. Gene, and daughter: Dianna.

Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church
