Jimmy A. Edens, 70, of Camanche, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Camanche.

Private Graveside Services will be 11:00am, Monday, June 6, 2011 at Springdale Cemetery. A public gathering of friends and family will follow from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Eagles Club, Clinton. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy Allen Edens was born on May 9, 1941 in Clinton, Iowa the son of George and Jeannette (Thompson) Edens. He was a 1959 graduate of Elvria High School.

He was currently a sexton at Rose Hill Cemetery in Camanche.

He was a member of the Eagles Club.

He is survived by three daughters: Lori (James) DeMoss of DeWitt, Iowa, Jodi (Todd) Guilliams of Clinton, Iowa, and Timiri Dethmann of Clinton, Iowa; one son: Nik (Amanda) Dethmann of Buffalo, Iowa; seven grandchildren; one sister: Joyce (James) Doyne of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and two brothers: Robert (Irma) Edens of Kentucky, and Tom (Kathy) Edens of Illinois.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.
