Clinton, Iowa - Lawrence “Larry” C. Paulsen age 53 of Clinton died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held 7:00 pm Wednesday June 8th at the Pape Funeral Home. A gathering of friends and family will be held Wednesday 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home. Larry was born on May 27, 1958 in Maquoketa, IA, the son of Lawrence E. and Janice (Fuller) Paulsen. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1976. He married Carol Kienkopf in 1977 in Preston. He later married Patti Lahey on Feb. 14, 1996 in Clinton. Larry had worked construction/concrete work for many years, worked at E.I. DuPont, and of late, at the Egging Company in Clinton. He was a member of the Clinton Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Larry is survived by his wife, Patti of Clinton; two children, Jill (Eric) Wood and Scott Paulsen both of Clinton; two step-children, Shane Stenda of McMechen, WV and Jeremy Stenda of Clinton; five grandchildren, Katie, Abby, Isaac, Emily, and Addison; his father, Lawrence E. Paulsen of Long Grove, IA; two brothers, Jerry Paulsen of Clinton and Jeff Paulsen of Waterloo, IA; two sisters, Julie Sozio of Langhorn, PA and Laurie (Cletus) Heister of Preston; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and a sister.
