Clinton, Iowa - William E. “Bill” Cauthorn age 79 of Clinton, died Sunday May 22, 2011 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4 – 7 pm at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Gene Lambert, Shaun Cauthorn, Courtney Lewis, Clint Brewer, Gary Haring, and Mark Cooley. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Bill was born on Oct. 28, 1931 in Molino, MO, the son of William and Ardis (Squires) Cauthorn. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1954. He married Donna Richardson on March 9, 1958 in Eldora, IA. Bill worked as a supervisor at Chemplex for many years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, woodworking, and watching baseball.

Bill is survived by his wife, Donna of Clinton; four children, Connie Cauthorn of Clinton, Bill Cauthorn of Morrison, IL, Joni Lambert of Clinton, and Karen (Ray) Hickey of Clinton; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Matthews of Ottawa, KS and Marie Conner of Auxvasse, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents.
