Jeanette T. Peahl, 80, Provo, Utah, formerly of DeWitt, passed from this life June 1, 2011.

She was born in Clinton County, Iowa, to Carl Herman Hass and Sikie Gesene Andresen June 29, 1930. Jeanette was the third of six children - the first daughter. She met and married her life companion Harold C. C. Peahl January 9, 1949. Together they farmed in DeWitt, Iowa, and raised eight children. They later moved to Provo, Utah. Harold passed May 14, 1991.

Jeanette enjoyed life and home-making in all aspects and was known for her crafts and cooking. She especially enjoyed her family and doing things for them.

Surviving are her children, Christine Joseph, Henry Peahl, Mary (Ken) Millar, Terri (Brad) Jex, Chuck Peahl, George Peahl, and Gerald (Diane) Peahl; 35 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; sisters Elayne Anderson and Janet Bacunawa; sisters-in-law, Amy Hass and Marie Hass; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Tighe Millar and three brothers.

Services will be held in the LDS Ward Chapel at 1725 South State in Provo, Utah, Thursday June 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation an hour prior. A second service will be held in the LDS Chapel at 1125 Westwood Drive DeWitt, Saturday June 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation an hour prior. President Kenneth Myers will officate with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
