Mrs. Mary Williams
The Death of Mrs. Mary Williams aged 82 years occurred at the family home, 906 South Third Street, Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock as the result of pneumonia.
Miss. Mary Brearton was born in Thuries, Tipperary County, Ireland, on December 12, 1829. She went to Canada in 1847 and was married there to John Williams. Five years later the couple removed to Lyons, and after residing there for a short time removed to Sterling, Illinois. In 1874 they came back to Clinton again and Mrs. Williams had been a resident since that time. Her husband died fourteen years ago. The funeral services will be held at the St. Marys Church on Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock with interment in the St. Marys Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was the mother of eleven children, eight of whom she leaves to mourn her death. They are as follows; John Brearton Williams, Eugene Leo Williams, William Thomas Williams, Frances James Williams, and Mrs. Mary Ann Quinn, all of Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Margaret Ryan, Mrs. Catherine Anastatia Collins, and Miss. Agnes Williams all of Clinton. All of the children will be in the city to attend the funeral.
