Herman A. Paasch

Herman A. Paasch, 64, 1417 Pershing Blvd., died Sunday afternoon in Mercy hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. The body is in the Snell-Smith funeral home where friends may call after 7:30 p.m. today. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. M. S. Bredow of Zion Lutheran church officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park cemetery. The Odd Fellows memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Mr. Paasch was born April 3, 1896 in Clinton, the son of Carl and Matilda Forrestier Paasch. He was married June 17, 1917 to Louise Steiniger who died in Nov. 1955. On Jan. 5, 1957 he married Elsie Smith. He was employed for 38 years by the Clinton Corn Processing Co. He was a veteran of World War I; charter member of June Van Meter post 190, American Legion; Gateway Barracks; America Lodge 567, I.O.O.F.; Encampment 96, Anton Lodge 23 and Rebecca Lodge 13.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Herman of New York; one brother, Emil; three sisters, Mrs. Emil buelow, Mrs. Ann Petersen and Mrs. Marie Koch, all of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, a son in infancy, two brothers and one sister.
