Mrs. Hannah J. Anderson, 84 of 3102 N 3rd St, former principal of South School in Lyons, died Saturday at The Alverno.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pape Funeral Home with the Rev. Bernard G. Miars of St. John's Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be George McClintock, Everall Jackson, Edward Schmidt, Paul Papke, James Malli and Tilbert Hatteberg.

Mrs. Andersen was born Sept. 15, 1890, in Almont the daughter of Julius and Mary McClintock Jackson. She married Nels Andersen, March 10, 1920, in Clinton. He died in 1947. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and was a life long resident of Clinton County, living in Clinton for 60 years. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1909. She attended Cornell College in Mount Vernon and Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught in Clinton County for 10 years, and served as principal of South School in Lyons for four years.

Survivors include two sons, Eugene and Curtis, both of Clinton; four grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Gladys Papke of Sabula. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and four sisters.
