Ida M. Burmeister, 80, of Clinton died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:30am Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Ida Margaret Young was born on May 13, 1931 in Bernard, IA, the daughter of Roy Raymond and Vera M. (Carr) Young. She married Calvin C. Hansen on February 11, 1953 and they had four children together; they later divorced. She married William A. Burmeister on October 28, 1976 in Clinton; he died on May 21, 2005.

She was a homemaker and had been employed with Swift & Company for 8 years.

Ida enjoyed quilting, she loved to laugh, have fun and spend time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters: Debra (Jack) Donton of Orlando, FL and Suzanna Hughes of Dawn, MO; one son: Calvin D. Hansen of Scotts Bluff, NE; one step-son: David W. (Diane) Burmeister of Davenport; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 step-granddaughter; one sister: Darlene Keister of Clinton, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter: Cynthia K., one grandson: Jay Dean, one brother and one sister.

Memorials may be made to the family.
