Donald H. Claseman age 88 of Clinton, died Tuesday May 10, 2011 at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Friday May 13th at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulton. Visitation will be held Thursday 4 – 7 pm at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Ken, Larry, and Chris Harmon, Stephen Deep, David Hughes, and Tom Klinkner. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com

Donald was born on April 18, 1923 in Rapid City, SD, the son of Matthew and Caroline (Jost) Claseman. He served in the US Navy from 1944-1946 during the Pacific Theatre. Donald married Irene Wilke in 1944 in Clinton, she died in 1971. He later married Alberta Regenwether in 1973 in Clinton, she died in 2006. He worked as a machinist for Chicago Northwestern Railroad and the Rock Island Railroad. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Fulton Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and square dancing.

Donald is survived by his son, David Claseman; a stepson, Jake (Linda) Regenwether of Ocala, FL; two step daughters, Marcia (Louis) Harmon of Fulton, IL and Linda (William) Bradley of Columbia, TN; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren; and a special cousin, Nadine Krogman of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, two brothers, and three sisters.
