Jean A. Honeywell age 87 of Clinton, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Alverno Health Care Facility. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 11th at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 10th at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be James, John, David and Mo Honeywell, Marc Barajas and Hank Kramer.

Jean was born in Savanna on March 29, 1924, the daughter of Guy Eugene and Mary Sloup Chellis. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Jean married Lewis “Dean” Honeywell on September 7, 1946 in Clinton. Dean died on October 21, 2008. Jean had worked at Schick Hospital, the Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, at the catalog desk with J.C. Penney, later at Spiegel Catalog and then as a secretary with Howes and Jeffries. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, and a charter member of Valley Oaks. Jean enjoyed golfing, playing cards, camping and walking on the beach near the oceans.

Jean is survived by a daughter, Kay (Jim) Scott of Orion, IL; three sons, James Honeywell of Clinton, John (Julie) Honeywell of Winona, MN and David (Gayle) Honeywell of Sabula; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a brother, Donald (Judy) Chellis of Valley Park, MO.
